Boston's ERA is 5th best (behind the Angels, Twins, A's and Royals). The Yankees are 11th (6.20).

The home opener is Tuesday afternoon against Seattle (.180/.211/.326 in three games). The Mariners had 4+ innings wiped out on Friday in Cleveland, after four snow delays totalling almost three hours. Doubleheaders scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday were snowed out. The teams will try to play two games again today, but there was at least a foot of snow on Jacobs Field yesterday afternoon.

<-- There was a bit of a typo on the Herald's webste on Friday. It's still there.

Josh Beckett and Daisuke Matsuzaka flew back to Boston together on a rented private jet. Dice: "I'm very happy to go back to Boston early, because I haven't seen the new house in Boston." He added that he and Beckett were splitting the cost of the plane.
