Brandon Moss Joining Sox Monday

Pawtucket outfielder Brandon Moss will join the Red Sox in Anaheim tomorrow. He will replace Eric Hinske on the roster, who (according to the Globe) "will be away from the club for three days for personal reasons. Moss has been taking ground balls at first base for the last couple of weeks".

When Curt Schilling is activated before his start tomorrow, who will the odd man out be? Probably Javy Lopez, who still has options. (Theo didn't ask for my opinion, so it won't be Mike Timlin.)

Signings: Infielder Junior Spivey, 32, was signed to a minor league deal and sent to Pawtucket. Spivey had been playing in the independent Atlantic League. ... The Sox are also talking with Bobby Kielty, who was released by the A's on July 31. ... Brady Clark has left the PawSox and gone home to Oregon. Apparently, he thought WMP would be traded and he's now upset the Sox have not called him up.

Is this true? It's unbelievable.

Gordon Edes and the Courant blogs are saying similar things about this. Evidently he was upset they were looking at Kielty!
