Phillies Win World Series in 5 Games

The Red Sox are no longer baseball's defending champions.
Rays     - 000 101 100 - 3 10  0
Phillies - 200 001 10x - 4 8 1
Cole Hamels was named MVP of both the NLCS and the World Series.

While I obviously wanted the Sox to repeat, I think this is an okay "runner-up" scenario.

Yes, I succumbed to a shallow attempt to grow new dendrites between blogs. You should too. Unless you think you have enough dendrites already. It's something to do while waiting for the stove to heat up.

I have to say that was a very exciting three-plus innings of baseball - I even got to see the end of the game at a reasonable hour! Congratulations to the Phillies... and now, let the hot stove season officially begin!

Man, John Lackey must be pissed. He lost to the Sox, who lost to the Rays, who lost to the Phillies. But I'm sure the Angels are the TRUE best team of '08...
