SoxScout, SoSH, 7:54 AM:
WHDH is going to air [an] interview with Ortiz tonight in which he says he came back from the wrist injury too soon last year and he is now in pain and the wrist is clicking again.
No other information. Ortiz is in this afternoon's lineup.

Is it really? He will do well to set out for a couple weeks. Cycle the team through the DH. Win Win.

selfish payers not thinking about the team. If you are injured and can't hit, don't play.

How can that be true and still be in the lineup?

Players bat and pitch with all sorts of pain all the time. I don't know how serious this is. (Just posting what I saw this morning.)

Man you are a downer, in this post and your other one about Bot.....I am sure you are right David Ortiz is the most selfish person on this team....C'mon you actually believe Ortiz is being selfish, really..

Bot is not a problem and is in no danger of losing his job, but he has already walked three more batters this year (11 in 20 innings) than he did all of last year (8 in 69.1).

Bot is 11 for 12 in saves. Better then most all other closers so if we want to replace him, pickings are slim.

Want to replace him, people really who is saying to replace him..the fact of the matter is it really hard to win games with 2 runs....

Barth, are you serious or being sarcastic?

If Papi had sat out with wrist pain, would you call him a pussy and tell him to shut and play?

He doesn't say he's having those problems now; he's talking about how he felt when he came back last year. If you don't follow it closely it sounds like he's talking about the present but that's just his accent and perhaps lack of complete facility with English verb tenses.
