Off-Day Outtakes: Canada Day!

On July 1, 1867, Canada became a self-governing dominion of Great Britain and a federation of four provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec. The anniversary was originally known as Dominion Day, but the name was officially changed in 1983 to Canada Day.

We have 100% Canadian Content on this off-day (the day after Canada Day).

What, no love for the 'Foot?

...

I have no idea if he's called "the foot".

...

Seems unlikely.

No Bryan Adams?

I'll have four days of him over the ASB.

After the All-Star break, there are only six off-days until the playoffs!

There were 10 before the break.

OK, I just got the "joke" about Mark Loretta. Major eye rolling.

Amy, if you wander back here. I found the McCartney cd I mentioned the other night. It was still in the car. It's called "Unplugged - the official bootleg". Part of that whole MTV series thingy. Recorded live in London in 91. As I mentioned before, a number of really good songs but also some same old same olds. A couple of nice covers. Not groundbreaking, but not bad at all.

I *love* The Band, but the remastered versions of their CDs include many outtakes and I don't know what is now official and what is not.

Check back on November 26, however!

Pepe, I am a huge fan of The Band too. The brown album is one of my favourite albums ever ever ever.

"I don't get the Mark Loretta joke, though."

He went to high school in a town called La CaƱada, California. Obviously, it's not pronounced Canada and has nothing to do with Canada.
