The professional level - AA, AAA, or the major leagues - doesn't matter. When Mookie Betts plays, Mookie Betts gets on base. In his major league debut, Betts singled, walked, and scored a run.

All nine Boston batters had at least one hit and seven of them scored. ... Dustin Pedroia went 3-for-3 and drove in 3 runs. ... David Ortiz cracked a long three-run homer in the third inning.
Example
John Lackey / Chase Whitley
Holt, 3B
Nava, LF
Pedroia, 2B
Ortiz, DH
Napoli, 1B
Pierzynski, C
Drew, SS
Betts, RF
Bradley, CF

Food for thought: as of this morning, the only team from the AL East with a winning record this month is Baltimore (15-12).

The MFY are 12-14, the Sox and Jays are 12-15, and the FKR are 12-16 in June.

As unlikely as it may seem, with the ENTIRE division floundering at the halfway point, the Sox still have a shot at winning the division.

FWIW, the Sox are six games out of first place in the East and six games out of the final wild card spot.
